Personal
I grew up in Tallahasee, Florida (Go Noles) until I moved to the University of West Florida to play basketball. While I was in college, I met my future wife, Emily, and somehow convinced her to marry me. Now I live in Lawrence, Kansas, which is defintely not what you imagine when you think of the state of Kansas.
Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab
This Summer, I’ll begin working at JHU APL as a Senior Staff Researcher in the Space Control group. I’ll be developing new technologies to defend US satellites in Earth’s orbit.
University of Kansas
For some reason, I decided to move from Florida to Kansas to pursue my Ph.D. In all honesty, I’ve come to love Kansas and KU has given me the opportunity to travel to 8 different countries to present my research. I’m a part of the prestigous Madison and Lila Self Graduate Fellowship and also a member of the Physics Department Graduate committee. I’ve continued my intramural dynasty by winning 6 championships in the three years I’ve been here.
Washburn
I’m an adjunct lecturer at Washburn teaching Physical Sciences (physics and chemistry) to education majors.
University of West Florida
During my time as an undergraduate, I played 4 years of colleigate basketball while earning degrees in Physics and Mathematics. I was the president of our Student Athlete Advisory committee that raised thousands of dollars for the Make-A-Wish program. I also won multiple intramural championships in sports such as flag football, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, and kickball. The University is located 15 minutes from the beach which is always a plus.
